Tri Febrianto Simaibang

Tri Febrianto Simaibang currently serves as a Geotechnical & Hydro Engineer at Whitehaven Coal since June 2023. Prior to this role, Tri spent over four years at PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk, advancing from Geotechnical Engineer to Senior Geotechnical & Hydrogeology Engineer, focusing on geotechnical and hydro management in BHP coal mining operations. Notable achievements include the development of a Ground Control Management Plan and a Geotechnical Model, leading to zero incidents due to geotechnical failure. Tri has also accumulated significant experience as a Mine Geologist at both Adaro and Thiess, contributing to production targets and cost savings. Educational qualifications include degrees from the University of Arizona in Geotechnical Radar Monitoring and Mining Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung, along with a Bachelor's in Geological Engineering from Universitas Padjadjaran.
