Kara McDowell

Kara McDowell is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in student affairs at Wilfrid Laurier University. Currently serving as the Manager of Student Affairs Communications, Kara excels in authoring newsletters, designing graphics, and managing the @laurierstudentsuccess Instagram account. Previous roles include Communications Coordinator for Transition & Student Success and Transition & Retention Program Assistant, where Kara developed support programs for incoming undergraduates and implemented marketing strategies. Additionally, Kara held the position of Vice President of Clubs & Associations at the Wilfrid Laurier University Students' Union, providing operational and advisory support to numerous student-led organizations. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing and a minor in Psychology, both from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.
