The Director Education is responsible for the delivery of a diverse range of both Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training programs offered under four broad specialist disciplines: Foods, Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management. Working with the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive, The Director Education is responsible for the development, delivery and management of the Educational Excellence strategy and business plans for Vocational Education and Higher Education programs. The goal is to ensure the Institute maintains its position as a leader in the delivery of programs across myriad geographies, markets, diversities of learner and within a multitude of learning spaces, including on-campus or within industry, digital or a combinations of these.
The Director Education is also responsible for the effective management and leadership in the development and delivery of creative and innovative vocational education and higher education programs to ensure student attraction and retention and create pathways to further learning so students realise their full potential. Furthermore, the Director Education has responsibility for ensuring the Institute meets internal and external quality reporting requirements with regards to all Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training programs delivered at the Institute.
The assurance of quality within all areas of education delivery at the Institute is of utmost concern. The quality imperative within the Directorate involves establishing, maintaining and documenting policies, procedures and systems that ensure that the Institute's courses are of the highest standard and meet both State and Commonwealth legislative and regulatory requirements.
