David Black

David Black is an accomplished Senior Aerodynamics Design Engineer at Williams Racing since August 2018, previously serving as an Aerodynamics Mechanical Design Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as Motorsports Engineering Lead at SST Technology, where David managed a team focused on thermal technology for high-profile motorsport projects, alongside a background in designing bespoke exhaust systems for various racing formats. As a founding member and Technical Lead of UWE Racing, David led the development of a single-seater race car for the IMechE Formula student competition. Initial career stages included positions in IT and web development with companies including IBM and Baan. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Motorsport Engineering and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science.
