Windes Promotes Lisa Carrick and Samantha Graboff to Partner, Windes

Leading California accounting and advisory firm Windes, announced the appointments of Lisa Carrick and Samantha Graboff as partners in its Audit & Assurance Services department, effective July 1, 2020. Both Carrick and Garboff will report directly to Windes Managing Partner Jim Cordova.

Carrick joined the team at Windes in 2004. Since joining, she has served clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, professional services, transportation, trade, and nonprofit organizations. Her practice includes financial statement reporting, evaluation of internal controls, and business consulting services for privately-held companies. Carrick earned her BA in Business Administration and Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Graboff joined the Windes audit department in 2017 and services a wide range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, real estate, and professional service firms. Graboff is responsible for all stages of the audit process, including planning, risk assessment, evaluation of internal controls, and financial statement reporting. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2004 with a BA in Accounting.

Windes Elects James Cordova as Managing Partner

Leading California accounting and advisory firm Windes, announced the appointment of James Cordova as Managing Partner after an election by the firms partners. Cordova will succeed John Di Carlo, who will transition to the Windes' board of directors. In his new role, Cordova will manage the executive team at Windes. "As with my predecessors who have approached the firm's mandatory retirement age, we have planned this change of leadership for the past two years," says Di Carlo. "It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the firm's managing partner. I am pleased that I will be continuing my professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and friends of the firm. The firm's excellence in technical ability and client service will flourish under Jim's strong and capable leadership." Cordova, who joined Windes in 1991, becomes the firm's eighth Managing Partner since being founded 96 years ago. Since joining Windes, Cordova has been instrumental in the firm's growth. He most recently served as the firm's chairman of the Tax & Accounting Services department, a position he has held since 2008. "I'm grateful for John's leadership these past eleven years as we have grown the firm with two successful mergers, transformed the Windes brand, and instituted progressive workflow processes," says Cordova. "I look forward to continuing to improve and grow the firm. I am confident that the firm will continue to thrive during these unprecedented times."
