Carrie Johnston

Program Manager at Winning by Design

Carrie Johnston is the Program Manager at Winning by Design. Carrie has over 17 years of experience in library systems and reference assistance. Carrie has a Bachelor's degree in Library Science from Winthrop University. Carrie is responsible for the operation and enhancement of the integrated library system (Innovative Interfaces Millennium System). Carrie also serves as the library’s contact person with Innovative Interfaces. Additionally, they provide reference assistance and library instruction on a one-to-one basis. Carrie has also developed and updated aids to library research. Carrie has performed system upgrades, new installations, and computer cloning of public terminals. Carrie has also coordinated and collaborated with all responsible parties for the design, implementation, maintenance, presentation, promotion and development of the Library’s Internet presence. Additionally, they investigate and evaluates Web 2.0 and future Internet tools which would enhance library services. Carrie also provides Web-related expertise to faculty and staff of Dacus Library, as well as other members of the Winthrop community. Carrie participates in the management of the Reference collection including weeding, transfer and selection. Lastly, they participate in collection development in the subject areas assigned.

Carrie Johnston has a Master's of Library and Information Science from University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts in Carrie'story from Winthrop University. Carrie also has a Project Management Certificate from University of South Carolina.
