Derek Sather

Derek Sather is the Managing Partner at Winning by Design. Derek has also previously worked as the Chief Revenue Officer at Mobify, and before that, at MuckerLab. Derek has helped Mobify work with Ann Inc. (Ann Taylor & LOFT), Crocs, Superdry, Garmin, Tommy Bahama, Carnival Cruise Lines, Outrigger, Vineyard Vines, BET, Coastal Contacts, Leading Hotels of the World, British Telecom, Bosch Siemens, Theory, Stella & Dot, Petflow, Chewy.com, Beyond the Rack, Idelli, WH Smith, Matalan, Charles Tyrwhitt, L'Oréal (Lancôme), Nordstrom (Nordstrom Rack & HauteLook), and Luxottica (Glasses.com). Derek has also lead the Sales, Marketing, and Product Marketing team at Mobify, which included 28 team members in marketing, sales, business development, and strategic partnerships. Derek has helped build a high growth team that tripled Mobify's historical growth rate of SaaS ARR to over 100% YOY growth. Derek has also been responsible for global expansion into the UK market, developing an entire technology stack and leading to revenue process and its ongoing optimization and refinement. Finally, Derek has driven significant organization improvement by implementing Target Account Selling, Pragmatic Marketing, and the CEB Challenger sales and marketing methodology.

Derek Sather has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Business Administration and Management, General. Derek also has a Certificate in Big Data and Social Analytics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Derek has completed the Reforge Growth Series and is currently enrolled in Reforge for retention purposes. Derek is certified in Leadership Circle Profile Certification from The Leadership Circle and in Pragmatic Marketing and Marketo from Pragmatic Marketing.
