Chad Ferguson

Chad Ferguson is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in exploration and development across multiple regions, particularly in offshore environments. Currently serving as Head of Egypt Exploration and Head of Focused Basins for New Ventures at Woodside Energy, Ferguson has successfully managed projects in Namibia, Mexico, and South America. Previous roles include Principal Geoscientist at BHP, where Ferguson led exploration efforts in the Central Gulf of Mexico and contributed to various seismic interpretation and prospect maturation initiatives. With a PhD in Geology from the University of Cincinnati and a strong academic background including teaching positions, Ferguson combines technical expertise with strategic leadership in the oil and gas sector.
