Woodward
Ben Worrell is an experienced engineer currently employed as Engineer 2 Test at Woodward, Inc., since September 2023, focusing on maintaining and upgrading production test equipment for thrust reverse actuator value streams. Prior to this role, Ben served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University from June 2019 to April 2024, conducting research on spray breakup dynamics in extreme environments at Zucrow Labs, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant under Dr. Steve Son, contributing to a solid propellant characterization program. Ben led the propulsion team for the Purdue Space Program from February 2020 to June 2021, developing a methalox liquid rocket engine, and was also a member of the propulsion subteam at Purdue Orbital from September 2018 to September 2020, focused on a hybrid rocket engine demonstrator. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
