Joseph Thomas

Joseph Thomas, I-CUDE, has extensive experience in the credit union sector, serving as President and CEO of NextMark Federal Credit Union since October 1994. In addition to this role, Joseph is currently a Board Member for the WORLDWIDE FOUNDATION FOR CREDIT UNIONS INC and the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), both since 2018 and 2020 respectively. Joseph has held various leadership positions within the Virginia Credit Union League, including Immediate Past Chairman, and has been an active member of multiple committees. Additionally, Joseph has been a Board Member for Credit Union Mortgage Assoc. since 2002 and served on the Board of Directors for the Credit Union National Association until January 2024. Joseph holds an MBA in Finance from Averett University and a BA in Foreign Affairs from Assumption University.
