Nahoko Shindo is a seasoned professional in the field of biosecurity and health security with extensive experience at the World Health Organization since June 2006. Currently serving as Unit Head a.i. for Biosecurity and Health Security Protection, Nahoko Shindo focuses on advancing epidemic and pandemic preparedness, particularly in relation to man-made biological threats. Previous roles include Unit Head for Epidemic Forecasting and Infectious Disease Strategies, Manager of Expert Networks, and Coordinator for the Epidemic Clinical Management Unit, which aims to minimize the impacts of severe infections.
