Robyn Tombacher

Global Head of Workforce Management at WPP

Robyn Tombacher is currently the Global Head of Workforce Management and part of the People Leadership Team at WPP as well as the GroupM People Leadership team. She serves as the product owner for Workforce (Resource) Management at WPP and is currently working with GroupM to stand up People Planning (formerly known as Resource Management), which will be the prototype for WPP. Additionally, Robyn oversees the Global People Strategy and Operations Center of Value for GroupM and has been instrumental in helping to shape a new tech-enabled Global People Operating Model.

Robyn plays a key role in defining the baseline and metrics for measuring the impact of Workforce Management and unifying processes and tools across the company so that there is a cohesive plan and the approach is tech enabled. As the WPP lead product owner, Robyn is designing WPP’s roadmap across brands, for People Planning as they implement their strategic work management systems, a further goal in their company modernization efforts.

Robyn was most recently the Chief Operations Officer in NA for Wunderman Thompson where she created and implemented an operational strategy across locations to unify workforce management onto a single platform (Workfront) and drove efficiencies and savings. She also led the integration management office (IMO) for the global merger of Wunderman and J. Walter Thompson and partnered with NA leadership team to improve the integration of brands, services, delivery and collaboration across all network brands, oversaw the PMO and led the effort for putting Resource Management in place.

Robyn previously worked at R/GA where she led operations for R/GA’s Global Capabilities. Prior to R/GA, she spent 12.5 years at Digitas where she last served as Senior Vice President, Global Operations Director for multi-brand agency teams.
