John Stivoric

John "Ivo" Stivoric serves as VP and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at X, the moonshot factory, since 2015. Prior to this role, Stivoric held the position of VP of Research and Development at JAWBONE from 2013 to 2015. Stivoric co-founded BodyMedia in 1999, where responsibilities included serving as CTO and VP of New Products until 2013. Before BodyMedia, Stivoric co-founded SANDbOX Advanced Development in 1998, a consultancy focused on innovation for multi-nationals and start-ups. At Carnegie Mellon University, Stivoric was a director and co-founder of the Interaction Design Studio and co-director of the award-winning Mobile + Wearable Computing Design Studio from 1993 to 1998. Stivoric is an alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University.
