Michael Matthews

VP, Emerging Technologies & Chief of Clinical Systems at Yale New Haven Health

Michael Matthews is the VP, Emerging Technologies & Chief of Clinical Systems at Yale New Haven Health. Prior to this, they were the Epic, Ancillary Clinical Project Director at Yale-New Haven Health System from September 2010 to October 2013. In this role, they directed a $300 million, multi-year implementation of Epic ancillary applications across four delivery networks and a multitude of ambulatory sites. Michael also lead a comprehensive suite of clinical applications and associated teams, including Epic, PACS, LIS, Pharmacy, Peri-Op other and third party ancillary systems and interfaces. Furthermore, Michael directed the consolidation of all imaging systems across the health system and established connectivity between third party systems and Epic.

Prior to their work at Yale-New Haven Health System, Michael was at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Michael Matthews has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Haven. Michael also has an Associate of Science in Business Administration and Management from Gateway Community College, and an Associate of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Greater New Haven State Technical College.
