Vazgen Hakobjanyan

Vazgen Hakobjanyan is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in technology and research. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Yerevan State University since February 2021, Vazgen teaches Introduction to Machine Learning in the Masters Program. As Founder and CEO of The Magical Labs, Vazgen addresses complex challenges at the intersection of mathematics, biology, physics, and engineering. Additionally, Vazgen is a Partner at SmartGateVC, focusing on tech investments in AI, IoT, and Security. Participation as a Board Member at YerevaNN, a prominent AI and ML research non-profit lab, and previously at Gate42, a quantum computing lab, further showcases Vazgen's commitment to advancing technology. With a strong entrepreneurial background as Co-Founder of Teamable Software and a solid foundation in engineering from positions at Synopsys and Sonics, Vazgen holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Yerevan State University.
