He discovered that, by capturing the beauty and mystery of nature through his photographs, he could reach a new level of understanding for it himself. After many years exploring different creative mediums and formats, Rosengarten has come to realize that photography can be used not only to document but also to create artworks with emotional power.

As a student at this university, Yitzy Rosengarten learned how to paint landscapes and based his work on constant observation and posing the landscape not as stage but as faithful representation of reality- its place and time being accurately portrayed. He also began to understand that all art is about revealing aspects of life which can be seen or experienced only through contemplation or creative expression.

In a way, the artists at Rosengarten were influenced by the French Impressionists in that they used natural light and landscape scenes to create their work. However, what sets these painters apart from other French impressionist painters is their celebration of nature. In addition to this, Rosengarten was meticulous with his study of light and often uses vibrant colors in order to achieve an effect that feels like you are looking right into the eyes of the animals or plants he depicts.
