Leah Eggers

Director, Youth Workforce Development and Postsecondary Pathways at Youth Guidance

Leah Eggers is currently the Director of Youth Workforce Development and Postsecondary Pathways at Youth Guidance. Leah has been in this role since October 2014, and during their time in this position they have overseen the growth of the department from one program to eight programs and initiatives. Leah is responsible for providing strategic guidance to the agency’s national sites on the integration of career preparation and local postsecondary partnerships into the Becoming a Man (BAM) counseling program model. In addition, they have established and coordinated key agency partnerships with career pathway and college access and success organizations which have connected over 150 youth annually to progressive pathway opportunities.

Prior to their current role, Leah was a Visiting Fellow at Education Pioneers from June 2018 to August 2018. Education Pioneers recruits and develops talented students and professionals from diverse backgrounds to work for K-12 school districts, charter schools, and other education organizations. Leah was nominated by their supervisor at Youth Guidance to complete a ten week fellowship for Education Pioneers.

Leah Eggers is a skilled leader with a passion for helping others succeed. Leah has a proven track record in developing and managing successful programs, as well as building relationships with key partners. Leah is dedicated to their work and is always looking for ways to improve their department and the services they provide.

Leah Eggers pursued a Master's Degree in Social Administration at the University of Chicago. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at North Dakota State University. Leah also participated in a Study Abroad Program in Criminology at Leeds Beckett University.
