Cenk Bulbul has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Cenk started their career in 1997 as an Assistant Manager of Treasury at Citibank Turkey. In 1998, they joined McKinsey & Company as a Junior Engagement Manager. From 2001 to 2002, they served as a Marketing Manager at Telecom Italia Mobile. In 2007, they became a Partner and Senior Director of Marketing Strategy at Ogilvy New York. In 2011, Cenk returned to McKinsey & Company as a Senior Expert in the Digital Marketing Practice, where they led strategy work and advised CMOs on digital transformation. In 2012, they joined YouTube, initially as the Head of Strategy and Insights for YouTube Ads Marketing, where they built a team and created YouTube Insights. Cenk then progressed to roles including Head of Agency Marketing, Director of Agency Marketing and Brand Marketing, and finally Global Marketing Director and Head of YouTube Ads Marketing. In 2022, they became the Global Director of Marketing for YouTube Shopping, and in 2023, they transitioned to the role of Marketing Director for YouTube Strategy, Insights, and Analytics.
Cenk Bulbul earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 1994. Cenk then went on to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at Carnegie Mellon University from 1994 to 1996. In 2007, they obtained their PhD in Marketing from the NYU Stern School of Business.
