Thomas W. has worked in a number of roles since 1984, beginning their career as a Radio Technician/Telegraphist in the British Army. In 1992, they became a Field Service Officer for the United Nations Department of Peace Keeping Operations, where they deployed telecommunications networks in various theatres of war. In 1997, they joined ECI Telecom as a Customer Support Engineer/Marketing Support Engineer, providing pre/post sales engineering support and network rollout of line multiplexing equipment for Telco providers in various countries. In 2000, they worked with engineering in the field deployment of pilot projects at Radwin. From 2001 to 2012, they were a Service Engineer at GE Healthcare. From 2017 to 2020, Thomas W. was a Senior Field Service & Sales Engineer at Restoration Robotics, and most recently, they have been a Senior Field Engineer at ZAP Surgical Systems, Inc., deploying the Zap-X system within EMEA.
Thomas W. has a varied educational background. Thomas obtained a High School Certificate from Queens School Rheindahlen in 1984. Thomas then attended Army Apprentice College Harrogate from 1984-1986, where they obtained an Army Tradeboard Tech (A1) in Telecommunications Engineering. Thomas also attended Royal Signals College from 1984-1986, where they obtained a City & Guilds of London Institute in Telecommunications Engineering. Finally, they obtained a Diploma in Technical Writing from Yeda School of Business & Technology Jerusalem in 1997. In addition, they obtained a Radiation License from the Government of Western Australia Radiological Council in November 2011.
