Alex Reed

Alex Reed is an accomplished communications professional in the sports industry, currently serving as the Director of Communications & Team Services at Zawyer Sports & Entertainment since July 2024, overseeing media relations for the Jacksonville Icemen and supporting various hockey operations across multiple teams. Previous experience includes the role of Director of Communications & Broadcasting for the Jacksonville Icemen from March 2019 to July 2024, and Public Relations & Broadcasting Manager for the Norfolk Admirals from September 2018 to March 2019. Alex's background also features positions such as Public/Community Relations Manager & Broadcaster for the Florida Everblades, where responsibilities included play-by-play commentary and media liaising, as well as roles with the Norfolk Admirals, Wheeling Nailers, and Lewiston MAINEiacs Hockey Club, focusing on broadcasting, media relations, and community engagement. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Journalism - Public Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV & General Studies from Marshall University.
