Derek Smith

Derek Smith is the Director of Data at ZE PowerGroup. Derek has over 10 years of experience in product development and management, and has been with ZE PowerGroup for over 5 years. Derek has a background in systems testing and verification, and has managed teams of up to 12 people. Derek has also written system requirements and maintained product backlogs. Derek is a key contributor to the company identity and ongoing company objectives.

Derek Smith has a BS in Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of Regina and a BSc in Electronic Systems Engineering with a Minor in Physics, Math and CS from the University of Regina. Derek is certified from the Scrum Alliance in CSPO.

Derek Smith reports to Zak El-Ramly, CEO and President. They are on a team with Simon Jackson - VP, European Business Operations, Nader El-Ramly - Chief Product Officer, and Aiman El-Ramly - Chief Strategy Officer.
