Romain Leborgne has worked in various roles in the software engineering field since 2010. In 2010, they were a Software Developer Intern at CORETEC, where they developed an application in VBA with an Access database. The following year, they returned to CORETEC as a Web Developer/Network Administrator Intern, where they installed and deployed an applicative server and set up a VPN gateway. In 2012, they were a Component-based Software Developer Intern at Thales, where they developed an application to prepare and playback maritime surveillance missions. In 2013, they worked as a Java/Javascript Developer at Sopra Steria, where they worked on a Java portal to integrate several applications for Orange customers and an information system for Orange Cloud for Business. The same year, they were a Mobile and Web Developer Intern at Ficasso Real Estate, where they rebuilt a part of the website using HTML, JavaScript and XSLT transformations and developed an Android application. From 2016 to 2018, they were an IT Consultant at Amaris, where they were a Lead Dev Full-Stack for a Telco customer and developed web applications using Meteor JS and Cucumber JS with Chimp, as well as created some batches using Spring Batch. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as an AVP - Full Stack Developer Scala/Typescript Big Data applications at Absa Group. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Zeenea.
Romain Leborgne completed a DUT Informatique (Computer Engineering) at IUT Lannion, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Université de Bretagne Occidentale, and a Master's degree (1st year) in Information Technology / Software Engineering at Université de Bretagne Occidentale. Romain then went on to complete a Master's degree (2nd year) in Information Technology / Software Engineering at Oulu University of Applied Sciences. In 2019, they obtained two certifications from Coursera, one in Functional Program Design in Scala and one in Functional Programming Principles in Scala.
