Carmelo Severino

Carmelo Severino has a diverse range of experience in the logistics field. Carmelo is currently working at Zencargo as the Head of US Expansion & Marketplace Accounts. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Customer Operations at Zencargo and Senior Customer Success Manager.

Before joining Zencargo, Carmelo worked at EV Cargo as a Senior Client Manager and Client Manager. Carmelo also has experience at APL Logistics, where they held various roles including Key Account Manager, Team Manager for multiple accounts (including Arcadia Group), Deputy Team Manager for the TJX (TkMaxx) Account, and Operations Coordinator for the TJX (TKMaxx) Account.

Carmelo began their career at DHL Global Forwarding as an Air & Ocean Export Clerk, where they handled logistics tasks such as imports, exports, trucking, warehousing, and cross trades. Carmelo also worked at Europa Worldwide Logistics as an Export Clerk, specializing in managing cargo groupage exports to European countries.

Prior to their professional career, Carmelo gained valuable experience at L.S. Transport, a haulage and forwarding company, where they worked as a Transport Supervisor and learned the fundamentals of effectively operating in a logistics business.

Carmelo Severino completed their Professional Qualifying Exams in Shipping Business at the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers - ICS in 2012-2013. Prior to that, they attended St. Mary's Catholic School, where they completed their 6th Form in AVCE Double Business & AS History in 2005. Carmelo also attended St. Mary's Catholic School for their Secondary School education, focusing on Maths, English, Science, and Business Studies, completing it in 2004.
