Brian Willis

Communications Director at ZETA

Brian has worked in the renewable energy and environmental advocacy space for the past 15 years, and specializes in energy industry communications strategies at the intersection of federal and state policy. He most recently worked as the Federal Press Secretary for Sierra Club, where he managed daily communications strategy and tactics around the Sierra Club’s core goals in Washington, D.C. and served as a federal liaison for state and local campaigns. Before Sierra Club, Brian worked as a communications consultant for mainstay renewable energy interests like the Solar Energy Industries Association, the American Wind Energy Association (now the American Clean Power Association), and the Energy Foundation, as well as small clean energy start-ups headquartered all over the world. Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Middlebury College, and enjoys exploring the wilderness areas of Western Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina — avoiding bears, blisters, and ticks in the process (with little success). He’s an uncle, an Eagle Scout, and a native of Washington, D.C.
