Marius Ghita

Marius Ghita is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in the design and development of electrical systems, particularly in surgical robotics and battery technologies. Currently serving as an Electrical Development Principal Engineer II at Zimmer Biomet, Marius oversees key electrical aspects of surgical robotic systems, including requirements definition and risk mitigation. Previous roles include Senior Electrical and Embedded Systems Engineer at Monogram Orthopaedics and Senior Test Engineer at Integer Holdings Corporation, where Marius developed test systems for lithium-ion batteries and conducted hardware and software testing. Marius's early career also includes internships at NASA, Maxtek, Planar Systems, and ETEC, showcasing a diverse background in electrical engineering and applied physics. Marius holds a PhD in Applied Physics, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a BS in Computer Science and Physics, all from Portland State University.
