Jouni Vatanen

Jouni Vatanen has a wealth of experience in trade compliance and leadership roles. Jouni currently serves as the Global Trade Compliance Director at ZimVie since March 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Trade Compliance at Zimmer Biomet from 2013 to 2022, overseeing trade compliance in the EMEA region and leading global trade compliance management system implementation. Before joining Zimmer Biomet, Jouni worked at Nokia, where they held various positions, including Director of Digital Trade Compliance and Senior Manager of Trade Compliance. Jouni was responsible for global trade compliance functions related to non-physical activities and export control, as well as leading supply chain security program processes globally. Jouni was also involved in corporate export compliance program and team management, automation of supply chain export control, and influencing regulatory changes. Additionally, they held roles in materials management development and product development programs at Nokia.

Jouni Vatanen has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Savonia University of Applied Sciences, which they completed in 1993. Following this, they pursued further education at IMD, specializing in Supply Chain Development, until 2000. Later, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Compliance from Erasmus University Rotterdam, completing it in 2017.
