Ryan Breen

Ryan Breen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Ryan currently holds two positions, one as Executive In Residence: Technology at Akmazo Capital and the other as Chief Technology Officer at Zmags, both since April 2021. Prior to these roles, they worked at Cimpress as Director, API Management from September 2016 to March 2021. Before that, they were a Distinguished Architect from February 2015 to September 2016 and a Senior Scientist from December 2013 to February 2015 at the same company. Ryan also served as the Chief Architect at Everbridge from September 2011 to December 2013 and as the Chief Architect and Cofounder at CloudFloor Corporation from November 2010 to September 2011. Ryan gained valuable experience at Gomez Inc., where they held various roles including Vice President, Technology from December 2005 to July 2010, Vice President, Research from May 2005 to December 2005, Director, Agent Technology from January 2004 to May 2005, and Senior Software Engineer from August 2002 to January 2004. Ryan briefly worked at The Synergy Project as a Mac OS X Developer in 2003. Ryan started their career at Porivo Technologies as Director, Software Engineering from May 2000 to August 2002, and also had a short internship as a Lame Little IT Intern at Goldman Sachs in 1999.

Ryan Breen attended Porter Gaud from 1991 to 1996 but did not receive a degree or specify a field of study. From 1996 to 2000, they attended Duke University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Ryan obtained several certifications in machine learning and neural networks from Coursera. These certifications include "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Machine Learning." Ryan completed these certifications between September and December of 2017.
