SeatGeek names former Tumblr executive as Chief Technology Officer
Brian Murphy, former executive at Tumblr, The New York Times, and Condé Nast, joins SeatGeek as Chief Technology Officer. Murphy spent three years at Tumblr, where he was Chief Technology Officer and oversaw teams that worked to optimize the product for hundreds of millions of users. Read more here.
Dor Levi is the new Head of Lyft Bikes & Scooters
Liam O’Connor, an executive hired to help transportation company Lyft build its bike and scooter operations, has left after seven months with the newly-public company. Dor Levi has updated his LinkedIn profile saying that he is the new Head of Lyft Bikes and Scooters. Read more here.
Coinbase loses its first CTO
Balaji Srinivasan has announced his departure from Coinbase after just one year as CTO. Srinivasan joined the company through an acquisition of Earn.com where he was the CEO & co-Founder. Inside sources have indicated that Srinivasan wasn’t given enough freedom in his role leading the development of Coinbase’s consumer products. Read more here.
MetLife hires Chief Strategy Officer from JPMorgan Chase
MetLife has announced that Patrik Ringstroem will join the company in July as chief strategy officer, reporting to President and CEO Michel Khalaf. Ringstroem will join MetLife from JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he was head of corporate strategy. Read more here.
Brian Doubles promoted to President at Synchrony
Synchrony has announced that Brian Doubles has been promoted to President of the company. Doubles is a 21-year veteran of Synchrony and has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2009. Read more here.
