Joost van Gorsel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Joost worked as a Creative Director at 0to9 | Values-Driven Creativity, where they focused on aligning clients' values and company culture to their marketing strategies. Prior to that, they co-founded Mode Marché, a fashion-focused company. In addition, Joost founded Iconique Fashion Magazine & Creative Studio, where they served as the General Director and worked as an art director for international clients. Joost also worked as a Creative Director at MetroDC BV, a web agency, and as an exhibitor at Fashion Fantasy and Museum Boijmans Rotterdam. Joost gained recognition at L'Oréal as the Dutch winner and international competitor in their Marketing Awards, and also had a brief stint as a presenter at Brighton Films.

Joost van Gorsel has a Master of Science degree in Business administration with a specialization in Strategic Marketing Communication from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Joost also attended Marnix Gymnasium from 1992 to 1998, where they studied English, Dutch, Mathematics A, Mathematics B, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, and Ancient Greek.
