Hernan Rozenfeld

Hernan Rozenfeld has a diverse and extensive work experience. Hernan is currently working at 1010data as the Director of Data Science since April 2023. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at 1010data from August 2019 to July 2023.

In 2019, Hernan also worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as a Data Scientist and Python Developer from April 2019 to August 2019.

From 2016 to 2019, Hernan held the position of Senior Data Scientist at 1010data. In this role, they developed machine learning algorithms to predict demographic information based on purchase patterns. Hernan also managed collaborative work across multiple departments and developed and implemented algorithms for customer-accessible production systems.

From 2014 to 2016, Hernan worked at the American Physical Society (APS Physics) in two roles. Hernan also worked as an Associate Editor, reviewing scientific research and guiding papers through the peer-review process.

In 2015, Hernan was a Fellow at The Data Incubator, where they underwent intensive training to work as a data scientist and quant.

Before that, Hernan worked as a Research Associate at the Research Foundation of CUNY from 2007 to 2009. Hernan'swork involved analyzing complex networks and developing numerical analysis and simulation programs.

Hernan's work experience also includes being a Ph.D. Student, Research, and Teacher Assistant at Clarkson University from 2003 to 2007. Hernan conducted research and provided teaching assistance during this period.

Additionally, Hernan has experience as a summer researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 2005 and 2004, they worked in the T-7 theoretical mathematics department, where they studied statistical properties of bipartite social networks and contributed to the development of the networkx package for network analysis in Python.

Hernan Rozenfeld completed their education in a chronological manner. Hernan first obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Universidad Nacional de La Plata. This degree was earned between 1997 and 2003. After that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Physics from Clarkson University, which they successfully completed between 2003 and 2007.

In addition to their formal educational background, Hernan Rozenfeld has also acquired several certifications. Notably, they obtained a Data Science certification from The Data Incubator in September 2015. Furthermore, they have completed various online courses and obtained certifications in the field of machine learning and deep learning. These courses were offered by institutions such as edX and Coursera, and the obtained certifications pertain to topics such as large language models, anomaly detection in time series data, deep learning specialization, sequence models, convolutional neural networks, structuring machine learning projects, hyperparameter tuning, regularization and optimization, neural networks, and deep learning.
