We didn’t start 10s Energy because the idea sounded good on a slide. We started it because, once you really understand how the energy market works, it’s hard to ignore how uneven it is.

If you’re a large player, you’re operating on real-time signals. You see what’s happening on the grid as it happens, and you can respond instantly. If you’re a household, you’re given a flat price or, at best, a watered-down version of reality—and told that’s “good enough.”

It isn’t.

Underneath all of that, the grid is constantly moving. Supply and demand drift out of balance every second, and prices react accordingly through the balancing market run by Elia. That’s where flexibility actually has value. That’s where energy gets very cheap—or very expensive—very quickly.

Most people never see that layer. And even if they did, they couldn’t act on it fast enough for it to matter.

So we built something that could.

10s Energy gives you direct access to those real-time price signals and connects them to your home via Home Assistant. Not in a “smart home” gimmick way, but in a way that actually lets your devices respond to the market as it changes.

Your EV charges when there’s excess on the grid.
Your heat pump leans into lower-price periods without compromising comfort.
Your battery stops being passive storage and starts behaving like a small trading asset.

You don’t have to sit there watching prices or tweaking settings. The point is that you don’t.

What matters is that your home is no longer blind to what’s happening outside it.

We’re not trying to make energy feel simple or static. It isn’t. What we’re doing is giving people a way to engage with it properly—on the same terms the system already runs on.

Sometimes that just means paying less.

Sometimes, when the conditions line up, it means something more interesting than that.
