Michael Sumner

Michael is always interested in learning something new, and you can often find him chatting it up with regular folks to make sure they’re having a good day. For him, one of the greatest joys of travel is the opportunity to learn about and absorb the diversity of human experience.

During computer class, he discovered his passion for computers and began sneaking off to the corner to play video games off of his USB drive while maintaining an A+ average. He later represented his school at a nationwide competition and took home first place. Because of this, he developed an appetite for learning about the internet and other forms of cutting-edge technology.

While trying to find a method to provide for his family, he stumbled into WordPress and marketing, made his first sale, and has since begun to hone in on the characteristics that attract buyers and readers. After that, he started working as a freelancer for a while, picking up jobs and assisting others to satisfy his insatiable thirst for WordPress knowledge.

He stumbled over 10up’s Engineering Best Practices, finding them to be a really helpful tool, and reached out to collaborate on improving the WordPress publishing experience for a wider audience.
