Phil Crumm

Phil began his dive into web technology at a tender, young age through his contributions to phpBB, the popular forum package. He soon began to utilize his skills to help others through consulting, and quickly stumbled upon an exciting piece of software called “WordPress”. It was love at first sight for Phil, and things haven’t been the same since.

After several years of WordPress consulting, Phil joined Automattic as a VIP Engineer, where he helped make sure that WordPress-powered sites ran quickly and securely. He then moved on to a Los Angeles-based startup, Pogoseat, where he helped architect a future-oriented platform to allow the company to grow. Thirsting to delve back into the WordPress world, Phil and 10up linked up–and the rest is history.

Phil uses his unique blend of software engineering skills and his love of helping people to wrangle projects as a Senior Web Strategist. In his free time, he’s an avid private pilot and scratch golfer.
