Patrick Marks is a seasoned expert in computational biology with extensive experience in genomics. Currently serving as a Fellow at 10x Genomics since December 2013, Patrick is focused on Xenium development. Prior to this role, Patrick held the position of Vice President of Computational Biology, where responsibilities included developing assays and analysis tools for single-cell, spatial, and in-situ genomics. Patrick's experience also includes serving as the Director of Computational Biology at Pacific Biosciences from April 2007 to December 2013 and working as a Senior Staff Engineer in algorithm development. Patrick holds a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Physics from Queen's University.
