David Orman

VP Of Site Reliability Engineering at 11:11 Systems

David Orman has extensive work experience in the field of site reliability engineering and cloud architecture. David started their career at Market Analysis and Research Consultants, Inc. as an interviewer before transitioning to a role as a software expert at Hastings Entertainment, Inc. David then worked as a system administrator at Nox Ordo, Inc., where they were responsible for the administration of the entire network.

In 2004, Orman joined Apple, Inc. as a Mac Specialist, where they provided sales, education, and technical support for clients. David also taught workshops on computer operation and advanced topics.

Orman then worked at the State of Hawaii as an Information Technology Specialist III, where they maintained the state's financial management and information system and handled user requests for the Accounting and General Services division.

In 2005, they became the owner of CoreNode, L.L.C., an underground data center located on Oahu.

Orman joined Google in 2007 as a Data Center Technician before moving to Rackspace, the #1 managed cloud company, in 2008. At Rackspace, they held various roles, including Linux System Administrator II, Senior Systems Engineer, Linux Engineer II, Cloud Operations Technical Lead, Cloud Architect, and Customer Reliability Engineer. As a Customer Reliability Engineer, Orman helped build the Google CRE and MGCP offering in partnership with Google.

David then joined iland (11:11 Systems), where they served as a Site Reliability Engineer before being promoted to Director of Site Reliability Engineering.

Currently, Orman is the Vice President of Site Reliability Engineering at 11:11 Systems.

David Orman completed their high school education at Killeen High School from 1996 to 2000. David then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems at The University of Texas at Dallas, graduating in 2004.
