Jim Roslund

Senior Mechanical Engineer at 1859

Jim Roslund has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. From 2014-2016, they were a Machinist at Maglio Inc. and a Lab Technician at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they performed water quality tests and analysis. From 2016-2019, they were a Mechanical Engineer at Amphenol Advanced Sensors, where they developed advanced MEMS package designs for pressure sensors and acted as Lead Mechanical Engineer for Amphenol's FMA series Filtration Air Restriction Sensors. From 2019-2021, they were a Mechanical Engineer at Ocean Aero Inc., where they managed all phases of product development for major electro-mechanical systems aboard Ocean Aero's Triton AUV. Currently, they are a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Unmanned-Aerospace, where they are designing and building an unmanned aerial vehicle (gyrocopter) with a wide flight envelope. In 2022, they will begin working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at 1859, where they will design and build electro-mechanical components used on a pico-scale drug screening platform.

Jim Roslund obtained their Bachelor's Degree in BSAE from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2016. In February of the same year, they obtained an Engineer in Training certification from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. In February of 2017, they obtained an Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certification from QAI.
