Matt Armstead

Matt Armstead is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in the startup ecosystem. Currently serving as General Partner and Studio GM at 1870 Ventures, Armstead focuses on bringing innovative intellectual property to market. As a Partner at Horizon Two Labs, Armstead collaborates with startups and corporations to identify breakthrough opportunities. Armstead is also a Founding Partner at Root Insurance Company, which specializes in insuring good drivers through a technology-driven approach. In addition, Armstead holds significant roles with Fintech71 as Executive Director and with Heir to Wisdom as Founder, advising various entities on innovation. Matt is a Strategic Advisor at LifeBio and Co-Founder of the Chuck Ealey Foundation, which promotes community betterment. Prior experiences include serving as Chief Growth Officer and Founding Partner at Ohio Transparent Telecom and a Corporate Innovation Consultant at Singularity University.
