Andy Wekin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in process improvement, operations management, and engineering across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Director of Process Improvement and Head of Operations at 1906 since July 2023, Andy has a proven track record of success, notably at General Composites Inc., where outcomes from the first lean six sigma project significantly improved yield and throughput. With a diverse background that includes roles such as Lead Engineer, Operations Manager, and Executive Director, Andy has adeptly handled responsibilities ranging from organization management and product design to IT support and manufacturing processes. Andy’s educational background consists of a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and a Bachelor’s in Studio Art from Williams College.
