Rick Johnson

Rick Johnson is the Co-Founder and Vice President of Solutions Engineering and Accessibility at VitalSource Technologies, Inc., where they manage the strategic direction of the widely used e-textbook platform, Bookshelf®. With over 12 years of experience at Apple Computer, Inc. as a Senior National Consulting Engineer, Rick has developed a career focused on technology, publishing, and education. They have served on multiple committees advocating for accessible content and contributed to the development of the EPUB standard. Currently, Rick is involved with several boards, including IMS Global and the International Digital Publishing Forum, and actively participates in non-profit ministries. A graduate of Biola University, Rick has lived in the Phoenix area since 1991.
