Idean Azadfar has worked in the engineering field since 2014. In 2014, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Xcel Energy, where they created a program in Excel to formulate different charts, graphs, and other useful visuals for data stored on old floppy disks. In 2015, they were also a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Xcel Energy, where they worked on MOV Quality Assurance reviews for the Monticello facility before inspection by the NRC. In 2016, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Xcel Energy, where they worked on a project to save the company time and money on the justification of when all Motorized Operated Valves and Pressurized Operated Valves should have the stems re-lubricated. In 2017, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Mechanical Engineer Intern at 1Micro, where they were tasked with the beginning processes of designing a new product called the KeyMaster Lite and was in charge of all quality assurance of their systems before they were allowed to ship to customers. In 2018, they became a Sales Engineer at 1Micro, where they are constantly trying to help customers find the correct way to utilize their products in the most cost efficient way to ensure a great ROI. Idean is also fully immersed in the process of devolving new products for the company throughout the design and manufacturing processes.

Idean Azadfar attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
