Jen Bills has over 20 years of work experience. Jen began their career in 1998 as an actor for The Second City. In 1999, they moved to Boom Chicago as an actor. From 2013 to 2019, they worked at O'Keefe Reinhard & Paul as a Group Creative Director and Creative Director. During their time at O'Keefe Reinhard & Paul, they facilitated the Writers Table, a collaborative creative model that turned professional comedians into ad copywriters and traditional ad creatives into more collaborative creatives. In 2021, they became the Executive Creative Director of 1o8, where they built the creative department and grew the agency from a startup to 8M a year in annual revenue and 30 employees. Jen won a Platinum Marcom Award for Ty "Gimme Beanie" integrated campaign and a Gold Marcom Award for Illinois Cares for Kids "I Got Love" television campaign, and was named a Digiday Greater Good Award Finalist for Illinois Cares for Kids "I Got Love" campaign.

Jen Bills attended the University of Iowa from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree.
