Jonnahtan Saltarin

Senior Software Engineer at 1plusX

Jonathan Saltarin has a long history of work experience in software engineering. Jonnahtan started as a Research Intern at EPFL in 2010, where they built a data processing pipeline for social and sensor data fusion. Jonnahtan then worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Fiat Spa in 2011, where they designed an application to improve the management of supplier's quality information. In 2012, they worked as a Software Engineer at COPELABS - Association for Research and Development in Cognition and People-centric Computing, where they developed a C++ application that enabled compliance verification of standard communication protocols for intelligent transportation devices and built an Android application that records visited Wi-Fi networks. From 2013 to 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant at Universität Bern, where they built a novel data delivery architecture for future Internet architectures and built an architecture for video streaming on future Internet architectures. Since 2019, they have been working as a Software Engineer at 1plusX, where they are developing new features and solving bugs for the Sim4Life product.

Jonathan Saltarin obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the University of Bern between 2013 and 2017. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Science in Computer and Communication Networks Engineering from Politecnico di Torino between 2008 and 2011. Jonnahtan also received their Engineer degree in Electrical Enginnering from Universidad Central de Venezuela between 2003 and 2011.
