Katie Olfert

Katie Olfert is a Software Development Lead at 1QBit, where they focus on the 1QBit SDK, facilitating interaction between developers and various hardware forms. They were previously a Junior Research Assistant at Defence Research and Development Canada and a Software Test Engineer Co-op at NETGEAR, where they honed their skills in software testing and inter-team collaboration. Katie’s early experience includes working as a cashier at both Dollar Tree Stores and The Old Farm Market, where they took on leadership roles in training new employees. They hold a combined major degree in Physics and Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, completed in 2017. Outside of work, Katie enjoys cooking, sketching, and playing quidditch.
