John Brady

John Brady is a seasoned professional in geographic information systems (GIS) with extensive experience in local government and academia. Since September 2015, John has served as a Principal Consultant at 1Spatial, specializing in software solutions for managing and analyzing spatial big data, particularly supporting the GIS needs of local and regional 911 Dispatch Call Centers. Prior to this role, John was the GIS Coordinator for the City of Staunton, Virginia, from January 2006 to August 2015, where responsibilities included organizing and maintaining spatial data and developing GIS applications. Additionally, John held an adjunct professor position at James Madison University in 2007, teaching a Geo-Database class. John began the career as a GIS Intern for the City of Staunton in 2005. Academic qualifications include a BA in Geographic Science from James Madison University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General Business, and Human Resource Development from the same institution.
