Sharon Smith, MBA, is a seasoned Revenue Cycle Consultant currently managing coding, billing, and denial management for a Behavioral Health client at 1st Choice, LLC since 2022. Previously, they served as Revenue Cycle Manager at Peachtree Orthopedics from 2018 to 2022, where they oversaw substantial revenue cycle operations and collaborated with various stakeholders on performance management. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Revenue Cycle Management at Laureate Medical Group in 2017-2018, leading critical revenue cycle functions and implementing key process improvements. Sharon's extensive career in revenue cycle management began at Emory Healthcare, where they worked from 2000 to 2017, supporting various revenue cycle operations and ensuring compliance with performance metrics. They are currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Shorter University and a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Columbus College.
