Ken Worley

Ken Worley has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Ken started their career as a contractor at LinksWare in 1995. From 1998 to 2001, they worked at COMPanion Corp, where they began as a software engineer and later became a software development manager. During this time, they developed a word processing engine and an application framework for COMPanion's library automation software.

From 2001 to 2002, Ken worked at Quark as a software engineer on the core XPress engineering team. Ken contributed to the development of QuarkXPress 5.1 and worked on the XD library.

Between 2002 and 2010, Ken worked as a software engineer at Tiberius, Inc., mainly on updating Alexandria, a library automation software developed by COMPanion Corp. Ken also modernized the application framework for Cocoa and Unicode.

From 2009 to 2011, Ken worked at Princeton Satellite Systems as a software engineer, developing applications for spacecraft simulation and design using Xcode and Objective-C. Ken utilized OpenGL to simulate Earth terrain and rocket effects.

In 2011, Ken joined HomeAdvisor as a mobile software developer, where they developed iOS applications for HomeAdvisor customers. Ken worked on the consumer-facing app for iPhone and iPad.

Ken joined Bloomberg LP in 2012 as a senior iOS developer and led a team in building and maintaining consumer-facing news and financial data apps. Ken played a key role in the complete rewrite of Bloomberg's iPad app and revitalizing their iPhone app.

Since 2014, Ken has been with 1stdibs.com as the Sr. Director of iOS Engineering. Ken leads a mobile engineering team, overseeing coding, architecture, and management. 1stdibs.com is an eCommerce company serving as a marketplace for high-end antique furniture, art, jewelry, and fashion dealers.

Ken Worley obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Wyoming, where they studied from 1985 to 1989.
