Peter Carlson

Peter Carlson is an accomplished actuary and finance professional with extensive experience in the insurance and financial services industries. As the Senior Vice President and Appointed Actuary at Global Atlantic Financial Group since May 2023, Peter holds significant responsibilities overseeing actuarial matters. Prior to this role, Peter served as a Managing Director at EY, leading the Insurance Value Management offering and enhancing insurance company operations. Notably, Peter spent over a decade at Transamerica in various actuarial leadership roles, including Chief Actuary, overseeing the management of substantial assets and driving organizational restructuring. Additionally, Peter co-founded 1st Light Energy Inc, providing strategic oversight and serving as part-time CFO.
