Benjamin Elzner has worked for the US Navy since 2000. Benjamin began as a Fire Controlman (AEGIS) FCS/ORTS Technician in CF Division on USS Chancellorsville, where they were responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Mk 99 Missile Fire Control System and the Mk 84 Solid-State Frequency Conversion System. In 2008, they became a Combat Information Center Officer. From 2010 to 2015, they were both a Masters Candidate and Fire Control Officer. From 2015 to 2020, they were a Combat Systems Officer responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Aegis Combat System, and a Weapons Officer who oversaw all phases of ship construction, created regulations and policy, supervised system installation, test and certification, initial weapons loading, and multiple test firings. Benjamin also conducted Aegis Baseline 9C Anti-Submarine Warfare operational testing and coordinated and safely executed Standard Missile-6 developmental test firing events. From 2020 to 2022, they were an Integrated Air and Missile Defense Warfare Tactics Instructor and tests, validated, and published warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures. Benjamin was also the Integrated Air Defense Commander course lead, coordinating and executing Carrier Strike Group (CSG) training events at NAWDC in Fallon, NV. Currently, they work for 2 Circle Consulting, Inc. as a Contract Tactics Instructor / Operator Analyst.

Benjamin Elzner obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Security and Intelligence from The Ohio State University between 2005 and 2007. Benjamin then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School between 2012 and 2014.
