Dave Peterson

Vice President, Joint Program Integration at 2 Circle Consulting

Dave Peterson has over 20 years of experience in the US Navy and other organizations. In 2018, they began working with 2 Circle Consulting, Inc. as Director of the Counter-Air Weapons Group and Senior Analyst. In this role, they are a subject matter expert in systems engineering, kill-chain integration, tactics and requirements management, and is leading multiple digital engineering transition efforts. Prior to this, they served in the US Navy from 1998 to 2009, where they held various roles including Advanced Systems Program Manager, Naval Officer, Avionics IPT Lead, Squadron Department Head, Flight Test Lead, Student, Special Programs Project Officer, and Squadron Division Officer. Dave also served as an Airborne Mission Commander for the Joint Special Operations Command, flying over 180 combat missions.

Dave Peterson has a diverse educational background. Dave completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1998. In 2005 and 2006, they attended the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and obtained an Engineering Test Pilot degree. Dave then went on to the Naval War College in 2007 and 2008, where they obtained a Joint Professional Military Education degree. In 2007 and 2008, they also obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Between 2005 and 2013, they attended the Defense Acquisition University and obtained Level 3 Program Management and Level 3 Test and Evaluation certifications. Lastly, in 2021, they obtained a Master of Science - MS in Systems Engineering from the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.
