Jay Shallington has an extensive and impressive work history, beginning in 1997 as a Machinist Mate (Weapons) on the USS Oklahoma City (SSN-723). In 2002, they became an Officer Candidate at the University of Houston. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Student Naval Flight Officer at VT-4 and VAW-120. From 2008 to 2021, Jay worked for the US Navy in various roles, including Director of Operational Support (Naval Jay'story and Heritage Command), Director of Operations (Carrier Airborne Command and Control Squadron 113), Director of Training Operations (Carrier Airborne Command and Control Squadron 117), and Senior Operations Manager (Weapons and Tactics Instructor). During this time, they managed 58 US Navy Fleet Jay'storians, 170 sailors, and $5.0M of government assets. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Project Manager and Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellow at InfraSource, A Quanta Services Company, where they served as the Substation Project Manager, managing six projects with 12 personnel between Philadelphia and Washington DC region, and lead the creation of a New Hire Orientation Program. Currently, Jay is a Senior Warfare Analyst at 2 Circle Consulting, Inc.
Jay Shallington obtained a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the University of Houston. In 2018, they were granted a Top Secret / SCI Clearance from the United States Department of Defense. In 2013, they obtained a General Amateur Radio License from the Federal Communications Commission.
